Dr. Jennings is detail-oriented and actively studies current research and topics in orthodontics. She encourages every patient to be an active participant in their treatment and prides herself on providing the most efficient treatment that results in beautiful smiles. She earned her undergraduate degree at Hanover College. Dr. Jennings graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry with honors in 2003 and then spent an additional two years at the St. Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education. By the time she completed that program in 2005, she had finished a fellowship in cleft palate and craniofacial anomalies and earned a master’s degree in dentistry with a focus on orthodontics.
Louisville braces
Traditional braces are one of the most efficient orthodontic tools we have. The metal or clear ceramic brackets are attached to your teeth before being connected by wires, elastics, and tiny rubber bands. All of these parts play an important part in your smile, as they work together to gently apply pressure and move your teeth in the right direction. Regular adjustment appointment with Dr. Jennings ensures that everything to going according to plan.
Louisville braces do a great job of correcting complex and simple oral problems, and everything in between. You might even notice that your overall treatment time is shorter than with over methods because braces can close gaps and align teeth quickly. Traditional braces also don’t require some of the more complicated technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments can. This makes Louisville braces a cost-effective orthodontic option for patients on a budget.
Louisville clear aligners
Clear aligners, made popular by Invisalign®, use a series of plastic, removable trays to gradually move the teeth into alignment, rather than brackets and bands. This option is currently the top alternative to traditional braces and is incredibly popular with both patients and orthodontists.
Clear aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material that fits snugly over your teeth. This is because they’re designed just for your mouth. The trays are virtually invisible and are usually switched out every 1-2 weeks for the next in the series. This keeps the teeth moving in the right direction! Aligners must be worn 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment in order for them to do their job. Patients who neglect to wear the aligners as directed might not see the results they want and can also add time to the orthodontic process.
